Description
Reminiscing our holidays in Marrakech with this super simple and super amazing breakfast citrus salad.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 oranges
- 1 grapefruit
- 2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
- 2 tbsp slivered pistachios
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 3 tbsp agave nectar (or honey or other liquid sweetener of choice)
- a handful of fresh mint leaves
- a dash of cinnamon
Instructions
- First peel and slice oranges and grapefruit. Using a small sharp knife, slice the top and bottom off the fruit and place it upright on your chopping board. Slice off the peel in strips, cutting down from the top to the chopping board. Try to remove as much of the pith as you can, to reveal the fruit.
- Now cut them them in thick slices (thick enough so they won't start falling apart). Make sure you remove all the pips.
- Arrange citrus slices on your favourite plate. They should overlap a little. This will look extra pretty π
- Top your citruses with agave nectar, lime juice, orange juice, pomegranate seeds, slivered pistachios and mint leaves. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- It's ready! How something simple can be so amazing? This will make a perfect light breakfast or a healthy treat after dinner. Serves 1 or 2, depending how crazy you are π
