Who doesn't like granola with almond milk or yogurt in the morning? It's a perfect speedy breakfast. The only problem with store-brought granola is that it's usually high in refined sugars and oil. That's why it's best to bake your own at home. You'll have total control over ingredients.
This granola is refined-sugar-free as it's sweetened with mashed banana only. I didn't use any oil in this recipe, either. Instead, I added my favourite secret ingredient: tahini. Tahini and chocolate make the best combination.
So I hope you'll enjoy this healthier version of granola. It's very addictive, and I often end up just eating it dry straight from the jar.

Serve with your favourite plant milk.
Ingredients
- 2 very ripe bananas
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 1/4 tsp himalayan salt
- splash of almond milk
- 1 and 1/2 tbsp chocolate powder
- 3 cups of whole jumbo gluten free oats
- 1 cup chopped mixed nuts (hazelnuts, pecan nuts, almonds, walnuts, basil nuts)
- 3/4 cup coconut chips

Instructions
- Mash bananas with a fork. Combine mashed bananas with tahini, chocolate powder, salt and milk until you get thick paste consistency.
- Mix oats and chopped nuts with the chocolate paste until well combined.
- Spread evenly on a baking tray. Bake for 40 minutes on 180 degrees C. Mix thoroughly every 10 minutes so your granola doesn't burn.
- If still a bit moist after 40 minutes, leave in the oven for 10 more minutes on 150 degrees C.
- When cooled down add coconut chips and freeze-dried strawberries and mix thoroughly.
- It's ready! Don't eat it all at once like I tend to.
