Crunchy roasted chickpeas - what vegans can't stop snacking on. Oven-baked and spiced to perfection, these spicy roasted chickpeas are perfectly crunchy on the outside and amazingly chewy on the inside. They're very addictive - you've been warned - but it's all good because these roasted chickpeas are gluten-free, low in fat, high in plant-based protein and healthy. These crunchy roasted chickpeas are spiced with cumin, coriander, garlic and chilli - what a surprise - yes, I add these spices to EVERYTHING. Enjoy these crispy roasted chickpeas on their own as a healthy high in protein snack or add them to your salad bowls and wraps for a bit of crunch and texture. They make a great soup bowl topping, too.
You know when they say that all vegans eat is chickpeas? Well, it's not that far from the truth, actually. Currently, my favourite savoury breakfast is turmeric hummus on toast. I have chana masala (chickpea curry) pretty much every other day for dinner… And between my chickpea breakfast and dinner, you'll most likely find me snacking on these roasted chickpeas - my favourite savoury snack. So yeah, vegans can be very predictable sometimes. You can go and make your chickpea meme now 😀
Disclaimer: these won't last very long. They always disappear in mysterious circumstances, so be warned. They taste absolutely amazing at tea time, served with masala chai.
Oh, I added pomegranate seeds for the final photo just for decoration but it actually turned out to be an amazing combo. Just so you know.
